Thyme provides 2 methods of integration with Joomla. You may use an add-on we call Joomla Studio or you may simply wrap Thyme inside of Joomla. Each has its own perks and drawbacks.

Wrapping Thyme

• You get all of the functionality of Thyme.
• It is very easy to setup.
• Thyme uses your Joomla users. Users will not have to log in twice.
• You have less control over how Thyme looks.

Joomla Studio

• Thyme still uses Joomla's users.
• Requires more setup time.
• Some features of Thyme are not available. For instance, event reminders, calendar subscriptions, and event notifications.
• You have absolute control over how modules look. Calendar components just become part of your site.
• You may create custom event lists. These allow you to do things like view all upcoming flagged (events marked important in Thyme) events in the next 4 days.
