Adding a calendar RSS module Print
Since Thyme can both read RSS and syndicate events as an RSS feed, you may add an RSS module that points to a calendar. Sounds more complicated than it really is. In this example, we'll take the NFL Calendar and add it as an RSS Feed module.

To begin, select the calendar you wish to receive events from and click on it's details link.

Here, you should copy the link location for RSS syndication in the details window under Week.

To create an RSS module, click on Admin (only super users can create RSS modules) at Thyme's footer, then on the RSS Feed Modules icon. In the feed's title, we'll enter NFL This Week, then click the Add button.

Next, click the Edit button to edit this feed's properties.

Here, paste the URL copied from the calendar's details into the URL field. Since this feed will not update often, set the Update Interval to 24 hours. For style, select calendar.

The calendar style prints date and time information with every item. If date and time information were not relevant, we could choose any of the other styles listed.

Click the Save button to save this RSS feed.

Now the feed exists and users may add it to Thyme's navigation bar. To do this, click on Modules in Thyme's footer, then click the Configure button for the nav bar module.

The NFL This Week feed now appears along with all of the other nav bar modules. Click on the Enable link for this module.

This NFL This Week now appears in our nav bar and we can see at-a-glance all of the NFL games for this week.

Any calendar in Thyme may be added as an RSS module. You may create a "Message of the Day" calendar and add it as a module. You could import a "Today in History" calendar and add it as a module. You may also keep other users up-to-date on your personal schedule by adding it as an RSS module.
