Category / Calendar coloring |

Each calendar or view may have it's own color configuration. A calendar's events may be colored by event owner or category. A view's events may be colored by event owner or calendar. To configure event coloring, navigate to calendar administration, then click on the Edit button for the calendar you wish to edit. The color option is located on the General tab.

The Color By option will enable you to choose which option to color events by.
When events are colored by category, you may configure each category's colors on the Categories tab of each calendar's configuration. Where ever you may edit style information, Thyme provides you with a simple point and click color picker, as well as a preview pane.

If you choose to color events by event owner, colors are configured by a Super User in the Users section of the admin panel. Click on the Colors button for the use whos colors you wish to edit.

You are presented with the same style editor as you are when editing categories. Once a user has style information assigned, their user name is displayed with that style information in the User's administration section.

If you choose to color events by calendar in a view. Simply click on the Colors tab of that view's configuration and you are presented with the same style editor as you are when editing categories.

To disable coloring of events on a calendar or view, choose to color events by category or calendar, then simply do not enter any color information for categories or calendars.
When using event colors, it is helpful to know which colors apply to what members, categories, or calendars. Thyme also provides a Legend module for the nav bar. This is not enabled by default. To enable the Legend, click on modules, configure next to Nav Bar, then enable next to Legend.

The legend will dynamically update based on the calendar you are viewing, the color by option of that calendar, and the colors of those entities.
